Throughout the Ages, Music... by Jamie

Throughout the ages, music has changed with the audience which listens to it. During the ‘70’s, protests songs were all the rage. The ‘80’s, (although I hate to be stereotypical) were all about sex, drugs, and rebellion. And now, my generation has caught itself in a whole new debate of the appropriateness of our music. As a teenager, a part of this new generation, you may think that it’s completely predictable to disagree with the disapprovals of the older generations. Let me tell you this, I don’t disagree with what you’re saying -- completely.

Time to Kill  by Jeff Hensley

While Rowan County, Kentucky debates an interchange through the Daniel Boone National Forest to relieve congestion, Cumberland Gap National Park has pulled up the ribbon of blacktop that has always marked Boone's crossing of The Gap and served as the primary connector between Kentucky and Tennessee.  We seem to all be searching for Robert Frost's "Road Less Travelled."  And I am as anxious as any Lawrence County, Ohian about where the new bridge will cross the Ohio River.  It will affect my commute to work, and where I buy groceries.  Even more importantly, it may affect the amount of time I have to spend with my family.  That's exciting!  That's Progress.
